Early Work Mercantile Grand Opening&TDIPT Mercantile Updates Tonight!

What a busy day today is,filled with lots of exciting web updates!The Early Work Mercantile's grand opening will be at 12am,this evening,May 1st!

Also,the TDIPT Mercantile will be updating tonight,between 8pm,&9pm.We are having a "Made in America"Celebration!



We will be offering Patriotic artwork.I have a made a Folk Art Lady Liberty.



Also,don't forget,HARTS will be updating tonight with our"Wing Ding Chicken Fling"!

~*Springtime in the Garden*~

As I mentioned in the previous post,a dollmaking group that I'm in,Coffee with Tea,is having a group auction on eBay,starting this evening!You can type"CWT"into your search to view everyone's auctions.I will post a link to all of the auction's tomorrow.I have made a Tuck Comb style doll.They were popular in the late 1700's,to early 1800's.They were made in Germany,and carved from wood.Here is a sneak peek at my Tuck Comb dollie.You can visit her auction by clicking HERE.

~*~Coffee with Tea eBay Group Auction~*~



One of my online dollmaking groups"Coffee with Tea"is having a group auction on eBay,starting this Sunday evening.I am making a reproduction of an antique Tuck Comb dollie.They were made primarily from the late 1700's to the early 1800's.Here is a progress pic of what I will be auctioning.I have sculpted her head and shoulder~plate from paperclay,directly over her cloth body.The picture in the background are my inspiration dollies.When the auction gets underway,I'll provide a link to our group member's auctions.Have a wonderful day!

Work in Progress&Exciting New Website News!

I am SO very excited to be a part of Doreen Frost of Vermont Harvest Folk Art's new website called the Early Work Mercantile.If you would like to receive an email from me,to notify you of my items for sale there,please just sign up in the column to the right,to be on my mailing list!



The site will focus on Folk Art reminiscent of the 18th&19th centuries!There are so many wonderful artist's that will be taking part in the site.I am so excited!The Grand Opening will be May 1st,so please be sure to mark your calendars!

Also,I just wanted to share a work~in progress pic,of a butterfly that is a special order.The wings are not painted yet,and there is still lots to do!The customer requested a butterfly that was entirely needle~felted,except for the wings.I have never made a doll that was entirely needle~felted.I hope everyone is having a wonderful day~until next time!

Hello Dear Friends.....




I am so sorry for neglecting my blog!Things have been very hectic around here.The kids have had one sickness after another,but we are all on the mend now,thank goodness!In between taking care of them,I have been working on some special orders that I had fallen oh so far behind on,but I am almost finished there,as well.I will have new dollies to share,very soon!There are so many that I can't wait to make!I hope everyone is having a wonderful Spring!
