Raggedy in Progress.....
I thought I'd share a pic of what I'm working on right now,I hope to have her finished by Wednesday. She is a Raggedy Anne with my own spin on her.I have sculpted her face from paperclay directly over the cloth. Her hair is needle~felted sheep's wool. She has a light crackle finish on her that you can't see in this pic,but I'll take pics outside once she is finished so that it will show.Have a great day!

Amazing Nature...

Isn't nature so remarkable?I hung this Green Man on a fabulous, humongous old Oak tree in my front yard several years ago. There was very little Ivy climbing up it at that time. Now,a few years later, amazingly,it appears as though this"Green Man"has become one with the old Oak tree.It is so fascinating to me,how it is a plaque of the"Green Man",and how he is always portrayed with leaves and vines on his face, and is associated with nature, and how nature has done this all on it's own!I simply hung him up,and left him alone.I haven't trained the Ivy at all, this is completely the work of nature, with no help from me at all.I just had to share the image of it.Have a great day!

~Penelope the Fair Puppeteer~
Isn't it so amazing how a doll will just evolve on her own,if you just let her? That is definitely the case with"Penelope".I had the hardest time for some reason, settling on an idea for this Ebay group launch.I knew the fabric I wanted to use,and finally just settled on"Miss County Fair".I still wasn't happy-AT ALL-but knew I had to get started,so I just got going on her, fully knowing, once I got started, she would lead me,and she did!As I was dressing her,out of nowhere, the"Puppeteer"idea came to me,and the creative thoughts started rushing in!She is available on Ebay as part of the TDIPT"Day at the Fair"group event.Be sure to type in TDIPT in your ebay search over the next couple of days to see all of the wonderful artwork up for auction! Thanks so much for stopping by!Have a great day!

Independence.....
This is"Independence",my latest doll. She will be for sale on the TDIPT Mercantile,on their 15th of the month web update.I am so happy to be joining them!I am also very excited about the new background that Paula Plott Gregg,an amazingly talented friend of mine painted for me!

I absolutely adore American Folk Art from the 18th and 19th centuries, and that's where I drew my inspiration for"Independence"from, especially this cloth doll from the mid to late 1800's~

Until next time, have a great day!
